EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL TASTING at Casa Belvedere, presented by Colavita

Can you cook with extra virgin olive oil? Does it have a low smoke point? Does it get better with age? Why are most bottles green?

Join us for a tasting of Colavita extra virgin olive oils from Italy, Spain, Greece and California. The program will be led by Colavita’s Certified Master Chef Ken Arnone (a Staten Island native). Chef Arnone will explain the production process, impact of terroir, classifications of EVOO, and how to properly use extra virgin olive oils in your kitchen for cooking, marinating, dressings, baking and more! We will be tasting a variety of oils to understand the fundamental differences.

At the end of the program, each guest will receive a sample of olive oil to take home. A complimentary sample of pasta will be offered, and wine and soft drinks will be available for purchase.
