THE ITALIAN CULTURAL FOUNDATION AT CASA BELVEDERE
2024 SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

A member-sponsored application offering two Scholarships
for College-Bound Students of Italian-American Heritage

  1. The Italian Cultural Foundation Scholarship Fund was created in 2023 to promote our shared Italian-American heritage, support academic excellence, empower the next generation of leaders and help defray the high costs of a college education to those in need. This scholarship is funded annually by the Italian Cultural Foundation.
  2. The Vito and Rosalia Memorial Scholarship Fund was created in 2023 by the children and friends of Vito Biancardi (1936-2017) and Rosalia Biancardi (1938-2022). Vito and Rosalia were immigrants from Italy who sacrificed so much to provide a better life for their children. They understood the transformative power of education, viewing it as the great equalizer and passport to success. In that same spirit, the Biancardi family is committed to higher education by helping defray college costs for outstanding Italian American students and future leaders. This scholarship is funded annually by the Biancardi family.

Students can submit one application to be considered for both of the above 2024 scholarship opportunities. Only one student will be awarded for each scholarship for a total of two recipients. Each will receive $2,500.00 per year for up to four years, contingent on maintaining a GPA of 3.5 or higher annually.

Additionally, the 2023 Italian Cultural Foundation and Vito and Rosalia Biancardi scholarship recipients will again receive $2,500.00 if all criteria are met.

The Scholarship Committee will review applications and supporting documents from eligible college-bound students, of Italian-American origin, with an emphasis on:

  • Academic achievement and merit
  • Involvement in community, extracurricular and social activities
  • Recommendations from educators as well as other professional individuals
  • The contents of the two essays to be submitted
  • Financial need (details included in the student’s application).
