John T. La Barbera (composer-arranger, guitarist) presents a musical journey that celebrates over 100 years of Italian cinema history and soundtracks that became famous around the world. La Barbera – also a cinema historian – will present an extraordinary evening, including video clips accompanied by a live musical performance.

About My Father

About My Father starring Sebastian Maniscalco and Robert De Niro.

The film centers around Sebastian (Maniscalco) who is encouraged by his fiancée (Leslie Bibb) to bring his immigrant hairdresser father Salvo (De Niro) to a weekend get-together with her super-rich and exceedingly eccentric family (Kim Cattrall, Anders Holm, Brett Dier, David Rasche). The weekend develops into what can only be described as a culture clash, leaving Sebastian and Salvo to discover that the great thing about family is everything about family.

Tuesday, Sept. 19 from 6 to 9:30 pm: OPERA DINNER: Desperate Tenors Sing with Passion! held in the Galleria with a View. Discussion and video presentation by Opera Educator Lou Barrella, with special guest performance by Mezzo Soprano Christina Lamberti. Come enjoy great food and the company of opera lovers!

Desperation is an emotional experience that causes one to feel anxious, depressed or heartbroken. Opera composers have always managed to give characters, especially tenors, the most wonderful musical and dramatic ways of expressing their sadness. The presentation by Lou Barrella highlights some of opera’s greatest arias sung by a variety of “anguished” tenors.

Children’s cooking classes are held on Mondays and select Tuesdays.
Children classes meet from 4 to 5 pm. 
All cooking classes are held in Cucina Colavita, a custom teaching kitchen.

Classes are led by Kim Leo, chef and owner of Kim’s Kitchen & Catering by Kim Cooks, and a licensed food handler.
Each person participates in hands-on cooking! Everyone will taste the recipe created by Chef Kim.
Then, after cooking your own dish, you take it home with you!
