Classes take place from April 18 – June 20 • 10 classes
Children Italian: Tuesdays 4:00 to 5:00 pm (ages 4 to 8)
Parliamo Italiano – These classes focus on introducing Italian language to children. They offer an interactive approach to the language, designed to get students comfortable speaking Italian. During our sessions, we explore and experiment with basic vocabulary and expressions. Worksheets and videos are also used during the sessions to assist in learning.

Learn Italian Folk Dances

Galleria with a ViewEnjoy an evening of folklore, music and dance! The Tammurriata (ta-more-ee-ah-tah) is a folk dance from Naples, Italy. It has roots in ancient times and is still done today to honor La Madonna on her feast days. This isn’t the kind of dance you’re supposed to sit back and watch – the rhythm is too strong!
Guests will learn simple steps which can be done by nearly all ages and abilities, thanks to a variety of moves such as jumping and leaping, or graceful chair dancing like a Principessa. It’s danced in a circle, or in pairs. Three folk dance versions will be taught: the ancient dance for Abundance, the Courtship dance, and La Scherma— the Street Fighting dance!
