About the Speaker: Carmen De Vito is a professional garden designer and Certified New York State Landscape professional. She is also the professional consultant for Nonno’s Garden at Casa Belvedere!

Carmen’s website, GardenCult.com, is a culmination of more than two decades of experience designing and building gardens in New York City. She has worked on some of the most challenging outdoor spaces, and created hundreds of beautiful, practical, and eco-friendly greenspaces on rooftops, backyards, and large suburban gardens and estates.

Carmen believes in using gardens and outdoor spaces for the greater good, and that gardens and outdoor spaces should be healthy, environmentally sustainable environments which enhance the health of people, nature, and the planet.

She comes from a long line of gardeners, going back many generations in her native Italy; she is the second generation of her family to put roots down in U.S. soil. Her natural affinity is coupled with design and horticulture training at the New York Botanical Garden.
