Welcome to Casa Belvedere’s “Sweet Reading” Book Club! This month, we’re thrilled to explore The Glassmaker by Tracy Chevalier.

The Glassmaker follows a family of glassmakers on the Venetian island of Murano over several centuries. The story centers on Orsola Rosso, a woman who defies expectations by crafting glass beads in secret to support her family. The narrative jumps through time, depicting the family’s experiences against the backdrop of Venice’s changing history, from its height as a trading center to the modern era.
