The Arch of Titus in Rome honors the victory of Emperor Vespasius and his son Titus in the Jewish War (66-74 CE).

Italian Jews can be traced as far back as the second century BCE. The history of Jewish communities in cities like Rome and Venice has been well documented, and now evidence is emerging about the history of Jews who settled in southern Italy since the Roman Empire.

New studies show a vibrant and significant Jewish contribution in all endeavors across Campania, Puglia, Calabria and Sicily, and a significant number of Southern Italians have hidden Jewish ancestry.

Join us for a discussion on this fascinating topic, which will offer a greater understanding for those who may have Jewish roots.
