Giovanni and Monica are the most diverse people on earth. He is an intellectual who prophesies social integration and lives in downtown Rome, while she is a former supermarket cashier dealing every day with the problematic multicultural environment of her suburban neighborhood. They would never have met if their 12-year-old kids did not get together. The two adults have a common goal: the relationship between their children, which has the life expectations of a cat on a highway, must come to an end … until something between them starts to change.
