4:00 PM-5:00 PM 09/25/2023 Children’s cooking classes are held on Mondays and select Tuesdays. Children classes meet from 4 to 5 pm. All cooking classes are held in Cucina Colavita, a custom teaching kitchen. Classes are led by Kim Leo, chef and owner of Kim’s Kitchen & Catering by Kim Cooks, and a licensed food handler. Each person participates in hands-on cooking! Everyone will taste the recipe created by Chef Kim. Then, after cooking your own dish, you take it home with you! Class sizes are limited. 8:00 PM-10:00 PM 09/26/2023 Tuesday, Sept. 26 at 7 pm: Cinema Sotto le Stelle: Funny Face starring Audrey Hepburn and Fred Astaire. Before the movie, a special presentation by the former Editor of Vogue Italia, Grazia D’Annunzio, who will discuss the film’s journey through fashion. About the movie: In this complete reworking of the 1927 stage musical in which he also starred, Fred Astaire is fashion photographer Dick Avery and Audrey Hepburn is shy bookstore clerk Jo Stockton, whom he discovers during a shoot and takes to Paris, transforming her into a top model. The lush, romantic musical has a wonderful George and Ira Gershwin score, including “‘S Wonderful,” “Think Pink!,” the title tune, and more; directed by Stanley Donen. About the speaker: Grazia d’Annunzio teaches Fashion Journalism at Universita‘ degli Studi di Milano. Since 2010 at Casa Italiana Zerilli Marimo, home of the Department of Italian Studies at New York University, Grazia has hosted “Addressing Style,” a series of live interviews with people from the fashion, photography and art worlds. In October of this year, Grazia launched “Italian Fashion from A to Z,” a web series on Italian fashion produced by NYU’s Casa Italiana Zerilli Marimo. The series is available on Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram. From 1995 to 2016, Grazia was the New York Special Project editor of Italian Conde’ Nast magazines including Vogue Italia, L’Uomo Vogue, Casa Vogue, Glamour and Architectural Digest. In the late 1980s, she worked in Milan as deputy editor of Vogue Italia. From 1992 to 1994, she was the first editor in chief of Italian Glamour. Grazia is currently writing a book about fashion and film.

10:00 AM-12:00 PM 09/30/2023 Re-Vision, To See Again: A Fall Revision Workshop (Virtual) with author Maria Giura Saturday, Sept. 30, 10 am to noon Note: This workshop is for those who have attended at least one Casa Belvedere Writing Workshop. Do you have a piece of writing you’ve already started, that you’d like to pick up on and receive help with and constructive feedback on? Join us for this supportive workshop which will leave you with concrete suggestions to get you closer to the truth of your story, whether it’s in the form of a poem, prose, or play, etc. Once you have registered, you’ll be asked to email in advance a writing piece that is maximum 700 words. First come, first serve: Workshop is limited to six participants. For those who haven’t yet attended one of Casa Belvedere’s writing workshops, check out the Fall/Winter Series beginning Thursday, Nov. 16.
