Learn to play chess with master instructor Louis Fraser
Thursdays, June 8, June 15, June 22 at 4:30 pm

A 90-minute class for all ages: children (age 6 and up), teens, parents, guardians and grandparents will learn together and have fun playing chess. Students will learn the essentials of chess, including vocabulary, rules, etiquette and respect. Parental involvement is welcome and encouraged. Personal chess sets are recommended but are not required.

Description

About the instructor: Lou Fraser is a retired special education teacher of emotionally disturbed students and former secretary of the Staten Island Chess Club who has taught children chess at Kingsborough College for Kids in Brighton Beach, Brooklyn, and at these Staten Island Library locations: St. George, Great Kills, Huguenot, Port Richmond and West New Brighton.
