Description:
Three fun Arts and Crafts classes – with a twist! Each session combines fun art projects with basic Italian language lessons. Children will engage in activities like painting, drawing, coloring and crafting, all while picking up new Italian words related to their projects.
For example, while creating a colorful collage, they will learn Italian terms for colors and shapes. These classes are designed to be interactive and playful, making language learning a natural part of the creative process. By the end of each session, kids will have a unique piece of art – and new Italian vocabulary to share with family and friends!

Description

About the instructor:
Maria Grazia Notarnicola has been teaching Italian for the past 20 years to children, middle/high school students and adults. She was born in New York, but when she was 8, her parents moved back to their hometown to raise their children surrounded by their relatives. After graduating from college in Rome, Maria came back to the United State for a brief vacation, which she is still enjoying 27 years later. Besides being an Italian teacher, she has a master’s degree in fine arts and teaches art to middle school students.
In her words: “My passion for the Italian language, for its culture, for its art and traditions is immense and endless; therefore, my goal is to share this passion and love I have for the Italian language with all my students and friends.”

CANCELLATION POLICY

  • There are no refunds for cancellations or no-shows. Credits for future programs will only be issued should you cancel 48 hours prior to your registered program. To cancel your registration, please call the Foundation at 718-273-7660. 
  • To redeem a gift certificate, please call the Foundation office at 718-273-7660.
  • You can be added to a wait list for any sold-out cooking classes. Once the wait list reaches 6 people, we may open a second class on the next day (Tuesday).
  • You can also organize a private class. Gather 6 to 12 of your friends for a special cooking session with Chef Kim! Call Audrey for details: 718-273-7660
