Writing the Italian in Your Memories
Laboratorio Virtuale di Scrittura, Virtual Writing Workshop
March 6
10:00-11:30am
No experience necessary, just a notebook and pen!

What memories do you have about language? Maybe you had parents/relatives who spoke a different language to each other when they didn’t want you to understand. Maybe you tried speaking “textbook” to relatives who only spoke dialect. Maybe your parents had Italian nicknames for you, or needed you to translate for them. Or maybe you have memories of (trying to) learn a foreign language? Whether funny, tender, frustrating, or embarrassing, join us this Saturday morning, March 6 as author-instructor Maria Giura leads us in reading and writing original pieces where language is either in the background or foreground of our rich, sometimes complicated memories. No experience necessary, just pen, paper, and a sense of curiosity and fun!

Pour your coffee and join Maria on Saturday morning from 10 to 11:30 am. The fee for the workshop is $27, or $30 for non-members. There is a member discount for family members.
