The emphasis of the course will be to empower the students and help them gain the necessary confidence to communicate in Italian. \nItalian 2: Monday 5:30-7:00 pm\n \nThis course is designed for students of Italian who have completed one semester of study or more and are interested in expanding their proficiency in speaking Italian. Students in this class will refine their skills through the development of various themes such as the self-portrait\, the family\, shopping\, Italian food and recipes\, leisure time\, visiting Italy and so on. This course is also ideal for students who have been away from Italian\, and are interested in refreshing their language skills.

This program is open to adults at all levels of practice. The class will focus on basic foundational yoga postures to help align\, strengthen\, and promote flexibility in the body. Breathing techniques are also integrated. There will be an emphasis on simplicity\, repetition\, and ease of movement.   \nMat class: Please bring water\, a mat\, blocks\, and any other yoga props.  \nPrior registration is strongly encouraged. It is gratifying\, with its quick-to-make projects\, and it is incredibly portable! It’s perfect for always having a project on the go. \nCrochet Ability: To be successful in this Intermediate class\, you will need to be proficient with the following crochet stitches: chain stitch\, slip stitch\, single crochet\, and double crochet. Please know that we will challenge ourselves and learn front and back post stitches and treble crochet as well. \nMaterial needed: Materials will be determined by you. If you need a suggestion\, use Lion Brand Pound of Love; other brands are Red Heart Super Saver\, Caron One Pound\, Caron Simply Soft or Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice. The amounts will depend on what you want to make. A hook is needed; most of these yarns require a (J) hook. Sometimes we crochet loose or tight\, so bring one needle larger (K) for tight crocheters and one needle small for loose workers (I). DESCRIPTION:WINTER SESSION\n$270 members\, $300 non-members \nItalian 1: Monday 7:00-8:30 pm\n \nThis course is for beginner students who wish to learn Italian and discover the culture of Italy. Through a thematic approach\, students will develop basic communication skills and enrich their vocabulary and practical expressions. Students will learn to converse in Italian in various situations: shopping\, ordering a meal\, interacting among speakers of Italian\, talking about oneself\, obtaining information about people and things and so on. The emphasis of the course will be to empower the students and help them gain the necessary confidence to communicate in Italian. \nItalian 2: Monday 5:30-7:00 pm\n \nThis course is designed for students of Italian who have completed one semester of study or more and are interested in expanding their proficiency in speaking Italian. Students in this class will refine their skills through the development of various themes such as the self-portrait\, the family\, shopping\, Italian food and recipes\, leisure time\, visiting Italy and so on. This course is also ideal for students who have been away from Italian\, and are interested in refreshing their language skills.

It is gratifying\, with its quick-to-make projects\, and it is incredibly portable! It’s perfect for always having a project on the go. \nCrochet Ability: To be successful in this Intermediate class\, you will need to be proficient with the following crochet stitches: chain stitch\, slip stitch\, single crochet\, and double crochet. Please know that we will challenge ourselves and learn front and back post stitches and treble crochet as well. \nMaterial needed: Materials will be determined by you. If you need a suggestion\, use Lion Brand Pound of Love; other brands are Red Heart Super Saver\, Caron One Pound\, Caron Simply Soft or Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice. The amounts will depend on what you want to make. A hook is needed; most of these yarns require a (J) hook. Sometimes we crochet loose or tight\, so bring one needle larger (K) for tight crocheters and one needle small for loose workers (I).
