DESCRIPTION:Bearing Witness — An Era In Retrospect \nTwenty five years ago our community\, our city was shaken to the core. We will never forget the fear and grief that followed. This exhibit honors that loss while celebrating the overwhelming realization we had of how precious life is\, how much we cared for our neighbors\, our fellow citizens and how hard so many worked in the aftermath. \n\nThe Italian Cultural Foundation at Casa Belvedere is honored to present Bearing Witness: An Era in Retrospect\, our first-ever exhibition\, commemorating the 25th anniversary of September 11.\n\nThrough the work of eight participating artists\, the exhibition remembers those we lost and reflects on the extraordinary compassion\, courage\, and resilience of the communities who came together in the aftermath.\n\nFeaturing the work of Susan Grabel\, Diane Matyas\, Ann Marie McDonnell\, Michael McWeeney\, Kristi Pfister\, Dr. Marguerite Rivas\, and Sarah Yuster\, Bearing Witness offers a deeply personal look at an event that forever changed our city\, our nation\, and our collective memory.\n\nThe exhibition also includes commentary by Sr. Rose Paccate\, FSP\, an internationally recognized American art and culture critic and member of the Daughters of St. Paul living in Rome.\n\nWe are proud to open Casa Belvedere’s exhibition program with a presentation that invites us not only to remember\, but to bear witness to the humanity\, service\, and strength that emerged during one of the most difficult chapters in our history.\n\nRegister Here!
