Giovanni and Monica are the most diverse people on earth. He is an intellectual who prophesies social integration and lives in downtown Rome, while she is a former supermarket cashier dealing every day with the problematic multicultural environment of her suburban neighborhood. They would never have met if their 12-year-old kids did not get together. The two adults have a common goal: the relationship between their children, which has the life expectations of a cat on a highway, must come to an end … until something between them starts to change.

L’Arminuta (2021) by Giuseppe Bonito
Tuesday, Aug. 30 at 8 pm
On a midsummer day, a 13-year-old girl is returned to her real family she didn't know she belonged to. She lived for much of her life with a loving mother and father, then suddenly she loses everything about her. She is no longer a young girl of high hopes; she is simply the Arminuta that is the returned. From a middle-class family, she finds herself living in a difficult reality in the Abruzzo countryside, in an empty, dull, and too-small house for a family of five.
